Thank you Minnesota Voters for choosing me to serve you in our great state. These are tough times. More than ever, Minnesotans need to work together to turn our economy around. With bipartisan resolve and a responsible approach, we can make our state even stronger than it was before.

I am committed to responsible governance and bipartisan progress on the issues that matter most to our community: education, health care reform, property tax relief, economic development, and the environment. Working to find common ground, we’ve made Minnesota a safer, healthier, more affordable place to live. Together we:

• Created new jobs in transportation and other infrastructure construction
• Laid the groundwork for long-term economic growth
• Passed nation-leading heath care reforms to cover 37,000 uninsured kids and reduce costs for all Minnesotans
• Invested needed resources in road and bridge safety
• Provided $850 million in new funding for K-12 schools
• Put a limit on property tax increases for the next three years
• Passed a nation-leading Renewable Energy Standard

Looking ahead, the economy must be our most important priority. As a small business owner I understand the challenges facing Minnesota families and businesses – and I’m working to do something about it in the Legislature. We need to continue investing in the areas that have always made Minnesota a leading economic force, including education, infrastructure, and competitive business development. We must lead the transition to a more modern, competitive economy by helping develop new jobs and new industry in our state.It is an honor serving our community in the Legislature.
