Dear Neighbors -
Minnesota is on the right track and making progress once again. Two years ago Minnesota was facing another budget deficit and we owed our schools money, borrowed by the previous majority.
We changed course, worked together, and made historic investments in education, increased property tax refunds for homeowners and renters, job creation measures, increased funding for our nursing homes and long term providers, and a strong bonding bill to repair infrastructure.
Minnesota has gained 66,000 jobs over the last two years and our unemployment rate is at its lowest mark in 8 years. Our economy is clearly on the right track and growing, but we know we have more work to do to grow and strengthen the middle class.
During my time in the House, I've also focused on Minnesota's beautiful outdoors and environmental issues. As a state, we face significant environmental challenges in the years ahead. From Aquatic Invasive Species threatening our waterways and fishing to water supply and monitoring issues threatening our clean water, to threats to pollinators, we have a lot of work to do.
We're moving Minnesota forward, making progress, and laying the foundation for a brighter future. It's an honor to serve you in the Minnesota House and I ask for you vote on November 4.
